Great Day for Amaya -- 5 Hits Tuesday, May 26th , 2026 Jacob Amaya was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar. After the 27-year-old Pascagoula Crawdads shortstop tallied 5 hits in 5 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 7-5 decision to the Birmingham Bombers. "That was no fun," Amaya said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win." Jacob Amaya singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
