Jhostynxon Garcia of the Roswell UFO came up empty at the plate and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the center fielder, Roswell dropped the game to the San Jose Thorns, 6-3.
"It was not a good day today," Garcia told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
At present, Garcia is batting .330 and has collected 11 home runs, 40 RBIs, .402 OBP and scored 35 runs.

Garcia Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games

Jhostynxon Garcia of the Roswell UFO has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 18-9 triumph over Fresno at Grizzlies Stadium.
"20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Garcia said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around."
Jhostynxon Garcia grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Carson Spiers in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jake Garland in the 5th.
This season, Garcia is hitting .339 with 57 hits, 11 home runs, 40 RBIs, scored 35 runs and played in 41 games.
