Unroe Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Roswell Wednesday, May 20th , 2026 Riley Unroe, second baseman for the Tempe Titans, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Roswell UFO. Not only did the UFO break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Tempe by the score of 6-1. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Unroe said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." So far this season, Unroe has put up a .345 batting average with 49 hits, 6 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
