Buccaneers Rafael Montero to Miss Year Tuesday, May 26th , 2026 When Rafael Montero was hurt against the Prince William Panthers, the Kingston Buccaneers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 35-year-old closer suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Montero would miss 4-5 months of the season. In the 2026 season Montero has worked 11.1 innings in 13 relief appearances and earned 4 saves. He has dished out 8 strikeouts and walked 10 with a 0-2 mark and a 7.15 ERA. |
