Knight Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Thursday, May 21st , 2026 The San Mateo Bloom upended the Merced Marines at Marines Ballpark, thanks in large part to left fielder Bill Knight, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Bloom to a 7-3 victory. Bill Knight hit a solo-shot off Cole Miller in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jacob Shafer in the 8th.
