Great Stroke: Jenkins Gets 5 Hits Friday, May 29th , 2026 It was a parade of hits for Jeremiah Jenkins of the St. Lucie Sand Gnats at Ballpark of Tampa. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Jenkins finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Sand Gnats to a win, 7-6. "Jenkins was really good and we were really bad," groaned Tigers manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Jeremiah Jenkins singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ryan Verdugo in the 9th.
