Guzman Slams 5 Hits for Charlotte Wednesday, May 13th , 2026 Adonys Guzman exploded for a barrage of base hits at Gators Ballpark. The Charlotte catcher had a field day in his team's 18-4 triumph over the Lake Placid Gators, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Guzman must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Adonys Guzman singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Aiden Jimenez in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. During the current season Guzman is batting at a .455 clip with 3 home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 12 games and scored 12 times. View Boxscore |
