Seise Goes 5-for-6 Against Augusta
Wednesday, May 13th , 2026
Chris Seise was at the head of a Columbia hit parade at Field of the Colonels. The shortstop went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Colonels to a nice 14-4 victory over the Augusta Greenjackets.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Seise told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Greenjackets skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Chris Seise singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Barrett Loseke in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
To date this season, Seise is hitting .247 with 1 home run.
