Columbia Snaps Nevin Streak at 24 Monday, July 27th , 2026 Lakewood right fielder Kyle Nevin experienced something against the Columbia Colonels he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Colonels pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Legends to a 12-9 victory at Field of the Colonels. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Nevin joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This season, Nevin is batting .371 with 104 hits, 10 home runs, 62 RBIs, 38 walks, .446 OBP and has scored 63 runs. He has played in 67 games. |
